Project Proposal
Rationale
Despite the unit work not being aimed towards music and musicals, I have gained a good amount of knowledge in a number of aspects of sound and equipment needed to get good recordings (This was seen in the Advert for the Cold opening, and the Podcasts I recorded). With this knowledge I have been provided with, I have gained additional expertise in music from dabbling in songs in the past, I have been playing and learning the guitar since I was about 11 years old, and have recently picked up and began learning piano and the mini saxophone. I have created a number of pieces of music in my own time, one of which has been released on Spotify, YouTube, and other streaming places.
Project concept
For this project, I will be producing a finish version of a song which will be written in cohesion to an original musical, this song will be performed by a group of individuals ranging from amateur to professional actors and singers. I will be working on the music myself, but with a small amount of help from a colleague with recording and mastering the vocals. I will also be getting this song translated into British Sign Language, incorporating together in a music video for the song.
Evaluation
I will be keeping an Ongoing Evaluation as I am working on my song, which I will then reflect on and revise upon it nearer to the deadline, this allows me to gain an understanding of how I have been performing and give an insight into what parts I have excelled in and where I can improve.
